?ROCKET MAN? BLASTS INTO FIRST PLACE!!

Rounds one and two of the 2006 Sportsman 2 season of Championship Off Road Racing are in the record books, with ?Rocket Man? Dan Baudoux leading the pack.

In an unprecedented display of power and skill, the #217 Sportsman 2 Truck won commanding victories in both Saturday and Sunday?s events positioning Team Baudoux firmly in first place.

Rounds one and two were held June 10 and 11 at Antigo Off Road Raceway in Antigo, Wisconsin, a longstanding venue for Championship Off Road Racing. With weather and track conditions perfect for racing and an enthusiastic crowd on hand, Baudoux took the lead on Saturday and never looked back. Only once under a caution flag did the pack of Sportsman 2 trucks have an opportunity to catch Dan. But even that did not help the other drivers. Having gotten passed under the yellow caution flag, a flagrant rules violation, another driver was then black flagged, opening the door for Dan to put the peddle to the metal, and pull off the decisive victory.

On Sunday, starting at the back of the group, Dan was determined to see the checkered flag, and made short work of passing the pack to again take the lead and drive on to a commanding victory.

After the race, ?Rocket Man? was quoted as saying, ?The truck ran and drove just incredibly well for the first race of the season. John Blues our Crew Chief and the rest of Team Baudoux had the #217 Ford dialed in. Our BFGoodrich Tires hooked up in usual fashion, weather was perfect, the track couldn?t have been better, and all I had to do was go along for the ride! I wish it went like this every race! Thanks to all our sponsors including BFG, CST Performance Suspensions, Teamtech, Mistequay, the Antigo Racetrack team, and everyone else who makes racing and winning possible for us.?
